Tuscaloosa Lake (low weight tournament)

Featured Replies

I fished a tournament on the lake yesterday and it was beyond tough :-/ There we're 12 boats participating in it ;D Out of the 12 boats, I think there was a total of 7 fish caught..First place was 2 fish @ 2.6lbs and second was 1 fish @ 1.8lbs and took big fish honors also :-?(we had that)Anglers discussion @ weigh in was they think the fish are suspended under balls of shad and feeding on them as they die off..What do u think?

Would have to have been there, but I've fished that lake a dozen times over the years and it can be extremely tough.

There is a huge 2 day tornament there on Feb. 13th.....like 250 boats and top thirty fish Sunday....I rode by there yesterday and the parking lot was full down at binion creek wonder if anyone is catching?

After talking about it I decided to get the boat out for the first time of the year and go out there and try my luck....that was a mistake.  The water was muddier than I have ever seen it!  I worked at it and told my self I was not getting skunked cause I can almost always go out and catch at least one or stay out there till I do.....haha... Anyway heres my little one its a spot so it was a good fight . ;)

Welcome to the crowd. I've been skunked too many times to count.

Many times on the days they should have eaten every lure to hit the water. Someone forgot to tell the fish and many times I failed to get my head out of my a**. Many things can and will cause a day to go south.
