solar flares and the classic

Featured Replies

I just heard on the news that we will be getting hit with solar flares from now till this weekend and it could mess up gps. If that happens I think we will see alot of boats getting stuck and maybe some getting lost. I couldn't imagine trying to fish some place like the delta without gps and only a couple days of practice. You can forget making long trips. I know its been talked about before about how the pros would do without all the electronics, we may just get a little sample.

They're not supposed to be that bad and may even produce some light shows for some...most likely in the northern parts of the US though.

some of the worst solar flares happened last august, ill bet you didnt even notice, there will be no issues with electronics or anything. the biggest flares recorded happened in 2005.
