Looking for a club in central Il.

Featured Replies

Hi I am 23 and I am looking to join a fishing club or tourny trail anywhere around central Illinois.  I live in Tuscola.  Drop me a line anytime.

How close is that to the Quad Cities? (Moline, Rock Island, etc)

Not very close I am an hour south of Clinton lake 15 mins from champaign I wish I was closer it would be to fish with a fella like yourself man but a lil to far away. Any Recomendations though?

I think the American Bass Anglers have a district somewhere

in Southern Illinois. I know BFL fishes at Shelbyville too. This spring

I fished Clinton Lake for 3 or 4 days and never got a keeper.

I know there are big fish there because I have won a couple of

tournaments there, but this time it was rough on me. I have noticed

that when I go there and the weather is crappy, I get big fish. This

year the weather was very nice and I did horrible.

Hey Gman2, you have a few choices in the champaign  area.  Champaign County bassmasters, Champaign -Urbana bass club, And the Homer Circle Bass club. I belong to CCBM and Homer, each club offers different things. CCBM is having a meeting on January 8th at the library in Tolono at 7 pm. Homer Circle meets next on the 29th of January at the brickhouse in Urbana at 7 pm. Champaign -Urbana  has a website cubass.com which lays out their schedule and meeting times. Hope this helps.  fishfool2
