Collegiate Team

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I fish on the Troy U team in Alabama. We are looking for ways to raise money for the club, any and all fund-raising ideas, comments, would be much appreciated.

Thanks

 David

guys, there are a lot of college and anglers in general. but I am having the same problems raising money so best of luck to yall.

We have a highschool team here where I am from.  When we started off we had a big open tournament for any fisherman that wanted to fish it and took a percentage of the money to keep in the funds for the club and then had enough for the payout.  The main thing is getting enough local fisherman to join to raise some serious money. ;)

Too bad you didn't go... They could have used you to wash cars in your bikini.

I prefer a bathing suit like Borat's...

I started a club at my high school and we raised $400 by having a raffle at a local sportsman's show.  We had a rod, pic, and membership donated to us and we raffled them off for $2 a ticket or $5 for three.  It worked well and I would definitely recommend it.

I would start with local businesses.  In this economy it may be tough but persistance will pay off.  Get creative and ask companies that others might not think of.   Think of ways to help them that doesn't cost you money.  The best way to get something you want is to help someone else get something they want.
