Nothing to be ashamed of here dude,

The picture tells the story.

You look real happy and that bass is plenty fine.

I wouldn't call that a "dink", If it's 12 inches or more it's a "keeper"

Don't be so hard on yourself you did REAL GOOD

good luck and have fun.

That pond looks like a GREAT place to catch some bass or spend a weekend. Anyday fishing is a good day good, that's how I look at it even if i don't catch any !! ;D

Ever fish those pads with a spinnerbait? Try using a single willow blade spinnerbait and bend the blade arm wire up a little. The arm will fend off the stems and you will be surprised how well it will cut throught that stuff. Start with casting parallel to the outside edge. Then try pitching to the outside and run it from deep to shallow. On ponds that are shaped like that make sure to work the corners real good. Places like that small point of grass to the right of the palm tree with the poles holding it up is another spot. When you have two forms of weeds meeting is always a great spot. Nice fish :)

Do you realize you have a ghost/angel/something holding onto your shoulder in that first pic. :o;)

I noticed that too.  I didn't want him to have a Freddy or Jason type moment.

Ha Ha ......I seen that......(P.S thats not me its my little brother)..........but ya he was thinking about throwing a spinner bait but we just stuck to worms and rattle traps............we will definatly try a spinner bait next time............and thats part of his shirt lol........at first I was like wow.......and asked him about it and he said its part of his shirt...... ;D...............I forgot to say that he also lost what he thought would have been his pb.....he had that blue lizard on and he almost had it in when .........slurp.......a bass cam up and sucked it in and ran off so fast it snapped his line............and later in the day he was like ..............COREY COREY COME HERE I GOT A HUGE ONE ON.........from the look of his pole and the tight line I was sure it was 10lbs.............it did turn out to be what looked like 10lbs............but not a bass............it was a snapin turtle, i let it go........lol he was disapointed it wasnt a bass

Love those pics taken in my Home State, Florida!  Thank you for them and nice catchin' on your cousin's part Corey.

Yeah, that's not such a bad fish...I'd consider it a fair catch if I caught it.  Better than what I've caught this winter so far.
