Reaction Innovations Vixen?

Anyone think of a better spook bait to walk the dog with?

The Vixen is definitely my favorite small walking bait. Such a great sound to it. They are fragile though. I have done the kneejerk hookset and sent them flying into my trolling motor shaft twice. They both completely shattered.

I caught the heck out of fish on it at Lake Amistad.  I really liked the bait, but the light wire hooks (daiichi death trap) were a tad too light wire...but they are super sharp.  Got one all the way through my thumb one day, took 20 minutes to get it out...then 2 days later got one in my pinky.   Wasn't about to waste the top water bite and ended up pulling it out with pliers.

I don't know, if there is some obscure bait out there that out performs it as a spook I wish someone would fill me in ;)

I've been using the Vixen for app 3 years and it's nice complement to the Spook & Sammy. The original Spook is a quiet bait and at times this is going to deliver more strikes. The Sammy having a cupped faced which makes a nice little popping noise as you walk it along with a more gliding action to it. The Vixen excels when your trying to call them out from deep water or heavy grass, this one when they are hitting it gets the most savage strikes. I view all 3 as important tools in my topwater collection, but if I had to pick one I would go with the Vixen.

Yeah, a super spook.  I have a few vixens and they work but I don't like them more than a 5" super spook.
