went out for about three hours this evening....nothing...not even a nibble....getting very frusterated...i tried everything...cranks, spinnerbaits, t-rigs, c-rigs, weightless senko....nothing..the lake is flooded but i waded through the water on the ramp that leads out to the dock so i could cast to the brush and stumps and all that....dont know what i am doing wrong...i have only cought 3 bass since i started fishing this season...one on a spinnerbait...2 on c-rigs...all dinks....bout 12 inches or less...but it was a nice night and i am glad i went either way...i am getting frusterated with not catching fish..not frusterated with going fishing... ;D   any tips?

As the majority of people will say, the most important thing is Confidence.

Every time I go fishing, and I go an hour or two without a fish or a bite, I get disappointed and lose hope.. The second I get a bite, I start catching fish because I regain confidence..

Really focus on what you've learned, and try things that may even seem silly when fishing any type of bait..

yeah i hear that alot..but the thing is, i dont really have confidence in anything yet...little bit with t-rigs and spinnerbaits...but not much

i remember reading a post i think it was roadwarrior posted for another beginner...it was something to the effect of...fish a weightless senko for 4 hours and nothing else...if you dont catch a fish...you need to find a new place to fish..that of course is the short version of what he posted...maybe this is my problem

anyway..thanks for the tips...much appreciated

this seasons been rough for me so far as well, im hoping itll get better as it keeps getting warmer (im in north nj), my advice is to stick it out, and the fish will come. if they dont i'd go back to the basics of rubbers (carolina rigged lizard, maybe a creme worm or lil fishie) or a solid white spinnerbait. Only time or a moderator will really tell ya ;). Good luck!
