Lake Orange (5-25-07)

Featured Replies

Took my boat out again, last time was back in February when we had one of those warm days.

This time I went from 4:00pm until 8 so about 4 hours of fishing. I caught 6 and missed like 4 or 5. I caught one off of a shad colored DT-6 and the rest where on a wacky rigged finesse worm. I had one hit the popper but he jumped off. I fished the shore under overhanging bushes, etc. whatever would provide shade and hit logs, beaver huts, etc. I caught my first fish not 10 minutes after launching, it was a measely 8" or so.

All in all it was a fun day and a good way to pass the time. My biggest was a pound and he died on the way to the house, I hate it when that happens! I released all the other bass into the pond. So we now have 59 bass in the pond.

I might head back out maybe this weekend. Depends on my schedule. My aunt and uncle came up from Georgia and they are spending the weekend with us. They are going to Charlestown, WV to gamble tonight and then catfishing at Potomac tomorrow (but they won't bring me... :'( >:(; but it's ok! Cause I will probably go bass fishing!! ;D :D;):) 8-))

I am heading back out tomorrow morning around 6:00am with my Bro in law. I will keep you guys informed of our success!  8-)

God bless :D

Me and my bro in law, Chad hit Lake Orange again today. I caught 3 bass and he caught a smallmouth bass and a chain pickerel, not to mention a hook in the thumb...

He was trying to get the hook out of the small mouth, when the fish struggled and slipped, his rapala jointed dug one trebel hook deep into his thumb to where the barb was embedded. He just went to the clinic to get it removed.

We will hit again this evening. All in all for 4 hours of fishing (6-10) it was productive. Had a blast and since it is Memorial Weekend there was a few ( ::)) people out.

god bless all and tight lines!  8-)
