what kinds of things do you put on a spot remover jighead? maybe a craw or some sort of worm?

i usually use trick worms.

95% of the time I use a finesse worm. Just pinch of bite off the first 1/8 of an inch to make it easier to rig.

The one in my avatar was caught on a Spot Remover with a Yum Crawbug.

I never thought about a Crawbug with a spot remover. Thanks for the idea. Do you use the smaller crawbugs (2 1/2 in.) or the larger ones (3 1/4 in.) from Yum? I was thinking of getting some to use as a jig trailer but I love the spot remover option.

Would a fat baby craw by GYCB work too?

I like to fish Yum Crawbugs or Baby Brush Hogs on them.  I have also used lizards, chompers shaky worms, reaction innovations sweet beavers.  There really is no limit to what you can fish on a spot remover.  Just use your imagination and try to think of something that everybody else isnt doing.

I usually use finesse worms or trick worms and the last few trips I used them I used a berkley beast and did pretty well with it.

I use the 4" Yums and the 5" Mad Man Craws with the new Pro Model Spot Removers. The small ones will work to. Any soft plastic will work just fine. I once caught the Big Fish of a Tourny with a spider grub on one.

I only use super glue when using a tube bait. But with the new Pro Model you get the cork screw that many people like.

Thanks for the info.  I haven't seen the Pro Model Spot Remover yet.  I just got a pack of the old ones last week.  I will definitely keep my eye out for the newer ones.  

I have ha luck with senkos, speed craws, sweet beavers, brush hawgs, etc.,but the zoom finesse worm and various hand pours that imitate it are my top producers.

Right now there are only a few places you can get the Pro Model. They have only been in production for a couple of months. I would look at their website. www.buckeyelures.com

Do they make anything other than that one worm? What is the difference between them and the finesse or trick worm?

I think they will work good with just about any plastic that will fit on it.  I have personally had luck with finesse worms, senkos, trick worms (on occasion), but I've never tried using a craw bug....now I have something else to start throwing.  Thanks guys!  Like I had a hard enough time sticking with one bait! ;D

The best thing to do with bait selection is to be mythodical in your selection based on knowledge and conditions, then try as many different ones that will work based on conditions.  When you find what plastic works for that day, stick with it and use slight variations.
