As a few of you know, yesterday was my bday. I was up at 3:30 to go fishing. (imagine that) It was a tough day, fish wise. They just didn't want to cooperate. Caught 3. Went back out yesterday evening. We were fishing along a bank when a momma and baby coon came down to the water. They were so pretty. I was way to busy watching now to fish.

They followed us at least a half mile down the bank. Didn't even seem to mind Chewy, the fishing dog. They passed up several deceased fish on the bank and continued to follow. Of course I was taking pics and was just amazed. I'd raised a baby coon yrs ago and she was released close to there. Wonder if it was Paws? After a while, I couldn't stand it. I remembered I had some pb & crackers in the boat. I headed to the bank....Momma was watching close and headed towards us..Baby was more cautious. I got to the bank and opened the crackers and gently pitched them towards them. About that time, Chewy barked and baby took off. Not momma. I was within 4 ft of her. She was so beautiful.

Finally I stopped coon watching and went back to fishing...Here's the first one...

Ok so they weren't huge or even big but there's always tomorrow.................

I am amazed everytime I go out on the rivers and lakes in Virginia regarding the wildlife we see.

Deer, snakes, squirles, bald eagles, osprey, Kingfishers, Red Headed woodpeckers, blue birds, hawks, vultures, beavers, racoons, rats herrons, farm animals (cows, sheep, horses, goats) all types of other birds and crazy people.

Gald you had a great 29th birthday and that you enjoy your new G. Loomis rod to compliment your new Shamino Calais baitcaster that the guys gave you! ;D

Well, almost brilliant, Avid.....

1st, give me credit. I don't mind being 48. I've done some good living in those yrs, don't wanna loose out of any of them ;D I don't mind being country, everyone should be proud of who they are, I am. Adorable, it's what all country bumkins are, aren't they?? But about that Sponge bob stuff.... :-/ I'm not sure that when she(baby Ninja) gets here, she's gonna like that stupid sponge. Scooby Doo maybe. I'll use what ever to whip Jas. Cane pole, scooby, sponge bob, or gloomis....doesn't matter. Attitude and determination is on my side. Jason should know this by now...next.....no, you don't have to lend your gear, I'm sure I can find a stick to use and I can use line some squirrel has left laying around. Doesn't have to be expensive stuff, I'll make do and do just fine. (Although I have to admit I kinda like the nicer gear) This is gonna be tough on Jas, very few men can handle getting beat fishing by a mear girl, I've seen a few, but they are rare creatures indeed Thats when it's so much fun, relax and enjoy the experience. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOOKETTE  I have three racoons I feed at work, they get me in all kinds of trouble I am too tired , just home form work BASICALLY THEY ARE # FUR BEARING MOOKS
