Once again I was up at 2:45am.......woke Joe at 5:30. I had everything ready to ride.

I made my first cast before 6. There's just something about being on the water before the squirrels wake........running wide open........to that favorite fishing hole...........

We fished for about 30 minutes with not even a tap. I was beginning to wonder about my choice. It seemed just right......I hadn't been there in a couple of weeks. We had a southwest wind blowing in. baitfish were there. I was casting the bank with a GYKB, t-rigged......There's a rocky bottom.....I'm really wantin a smallie....Just after sun up. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and thought of how great it was just to be there. I always think of Nik and that elusive bass named Murphy......I made the next cast. The first hit of the morning.......It hit hard.........Hook up. Bronzeback on. She jumped just feet from the bank, clearing the water by 2 feet........Oh yeah......Twice more she jumped. At least 4 ft between her and the water........I was shaking.........I got her in......she wasn't all that big.....About 3 lbs of beauty......I love it....

She was the biggest and most exciting but the others were great too. Not a lot of fish but for about an hour and half it was a blast........I ended with seven........Joe had 3. What a morning. At 8 am, it was over..........we stayed another hour then called it a morning.......

Thanks file mob......I don't fish everyday, right now it's too hot. I'm averaging 5 days a week with 2-3 days I'm out twice, very early morning then couple of hours in the evening....

When it cools off some around here, I'll go about every morning...My husband drives a semi.

I drive a bass boat I go out when he's on the road too......I like to fish with someone but........if you count me, myself and I....it's a party ;D

It's supposed to cool down into the 80's. Think it'll be a good morning to leave the dog and spouse at home and have a quiet morning on the water........
