Finally got out

Featured Replies

I finally made it out last night, and got skunked.  >:(

I hit a private lake near my house in N. Phoenix and threw lots of stuff at 'em but they wanted nothing to do with it. I started with a blade in chartreuse and got a big bump on the 3'd cast but nothing after that. I gave up and threw senkos, sluggos, topwater, worms and swimbaits... but nobody was interested. The water is cooling off a bit so I'm hoping the bite picks up soon. The lake was really productive before the summer.

I love having access to private lakes/ponds myself but the funny thing is some days you can get absolutely nothing to bite! You would think they would go crazy since they haven't seen much but bugs and other bait fish.

Been there, done that and bought the durned T-shirt ;D! Hope next time is better for you...
