first basstrix bass

Featured Replies

today was another beautiful day.

I'm talkin temps in the 80 degree range, mostly sunny with a nice breeze.

Now for the bad news.

The bite is still slow, but picking up

couldn't really get a pattern going.

Picked a few keepers here and there, and lost a 5-6 lber on a ratLtrap.

but at least I did catch a keeper on the basstrix.

Lemme tell you boyz.  These baits is FRAGILE.........

Just look at them hard and they tear.

I got a chance to try "Mend It" and it is really good stuff.

Here's the little guy.

Nice Avid, keep at 'em man.  How is the shoulder feeling, all good?

I got Mend-It specifically for these baits, it's great!

Congrats man.

Thanks for the concern.  No, not yet.  It stiffens up and hurts a bit after going fishing.

My PT advised me at the time of my discharge from treatment that it would be several months before the pain went away completely.

So I'm making sure not to stress it too hard, or fish on consecutive days.  Stuff like that.

I sure would like to test it on a DD.  ::)
