Hit the Pamunkey today for a couple hours of afternoon bassin'. We got off to a really good start when we pulled up to our first spot, my first 8 casts produced 8 very nice fish. But then the bite died there, so we headed up to a nice point that always holds big fish on low tide, well we timed it right and I got a nice 3lber to the boat (a very good fish for this river).

After that we fished around for a couple hours and only caught 2 more keepers, but a great day for the ole Pamunkey...

I caught all of our fish (my dad zeroed for the day ) on 4" ZOOM finesse worm in green pumpkin on a drop-shot rig, also dipping the tail in chart. dye seemed to help...

Great job on some winter bass!  Word to the wise, leave a couple for dad or he might start long arming you.

Well, this time of year in the local rivers it's all about wood cover positioned on the first breakline out from the bank. It's very predictable, I just pull up to a spot that is somewhat out of the current, find the break, and fish it until I find a piece of wood cover that is on the break, and you'll know it when you find it cuz you're guaranteed to get bit...
