Stickmarsh/Farm 13

Featured Replies

According to the NWS, we have a weather emergency. They have issued a special weather statement telling us that we need to take appropriate measures before going outside due to temps in the low 30's and even lower windchills. OK, I'll be sure and put on a jacket. LOL

Anyways, I'm bored, so here's a multiple day report.

12-25....I fished both the Stick side and the Farm side. Farm side was just too dirty for me. I went over to the Stick side and found much cleaner water. Senkos and a few on Traps resulted in 12 Bass to 6 1/2#. Also, a 4 1/2# plus several 3.0# made it worth coming out despite crappy weather conditions.

12-26....This was just a suck day for everybody I talked to. I managed three fish for 1/2 day, but all three were in the 3.0 range. Senko and T rigged worms did the trick.

12-27....This day I would have "Avid" out for the 3rd time. I haven't met very many people who have the passion for fishing like Avid does. He truely LOVES being on the water and every fish caught is a high-five and atta-boy, no matter who caught it. His positive energy is contagious(sp?) to say the least.

Based on the previous day's results, I opted to go to Garcia. On the way to the Lake, I got sick. We went out and fished for about three hours until I had to call the show early.

10 Bass made it to the boat in those three hours along with plenty of laughs too.

12-30....I headed out to StickFarm by myself and managed to bring 11 Bass over the rail. 5 3/4# was the biggest. Soft plastics and a few on Long A's seemed to work best.

Stickmarsh water levels are high. Fishing success depends entirely on wind speed/direction/water clarity. The fish have moved into the South end and the spawn has begun.

Garcia is at 25ft, which is super high. A higher than average number of beds were spotted and there ARE fish on them.

See you out there!!!

Well there it is folks.

If SteveP says it's time to fish,

trust me,

It's time to fish.

I know for a fact that there are some guys, who sneak over to BassResource.com from other forums to see reports from SteveP.

Look for them on the south end of the stickmarsh.

they'll be there.

Thanks for the report dude.
