My New Hot Spot

Featured Replies

I live here in North West Alabama, right near the Tennessee River and man did I find me a hot spot.

After 2 days of fishing the three of us on this trip caught some fish 4 sure.

I am not going to name the specific location, cause ...... its my spot :) but It was a nice little cove with a bridge right next to it....

Day 1: We were catching Small Mouth Bass left and right, they were biting like I have never seen before. We werent keeping any of them cause we were just out there for the fun of realing em in hoping for a big catch, but it was un-real how many of these small mouth bass we caught.

After speaking with my Uncle about our great day of fishing, he told us about how that was a hot spot for him when he used to take his boat out almost every day, we decided to go back for a second day and see if we get same results....

Day 2: AGAIN! we were reelin em in left and right....only problem.....all that was biting were shad....yuk, who wants shad? they were nice size'd fish, it was a blast realin em in, but not nearly as fun as the bass....... It was weird though, all we cought day before was pure small mouth bass.....next day....pure shad......we werent out there as long second day, cause the bites did slow down, I assume it had something to do with the 4 or 5 beavers that were swimming around back in that cove area, anyways.....cant wait to go back, hopefully for bass lol.
