drop shot success

Featured Replies

Went out Sunday morning for the first time here in Indiana.  We fished a drop shot rig with 4inch robo worms and caught 2 little smallies at the white river.  I also caught what I thought was a big largemouth until I got it to the boat and it ended up being a carp  :-?.  This is a first for me.  Has anybody else done this before?  Realized on the way there that we forgot our camera, so no pics, but what an interesting trip.

No carp on drop shot for me, but I've caught some big ones fishing the run off drains on the river during a rain.....on crankbaits. :o  Blew me away that they'd bite on cranks like that. Bomber 6A crawfish pattern is one they seem to like.

Last year I caught a 21# carp on a 3" locally hand pured worm on my drop shot.  What a fight it put up.
