Great day

Featured Replies

I finally got to get back on the water again today.  I've been taking care of my newborn son for the past few weeks but today my wife had some family come over to keep her company so I could go fishing.

Went to a pond near Canton, Tx.  Caught 8 bass.  One on a Fat Ika, one on the GYCB Kreature, one on the GYCB flappin hog, 2 on senkos and 3 on a tiny rattle trap.  I usually catch at least one fish over 5 pounds at this pond but today the best fish was almost 4 pounds.

The day started really cloudy but then the sun came out.  I also caught a really mean sunburn today.  The water temp got up to 64 in the late afternoon.   I saw and heard that the frogs are out, and heard many splashes in the grass.  I've gotta get some frogs before my next trip.

I can't wait till my son is old enough to go fishing.  I bought him his first rod&reel before he was born, its on the wall in his room.
