HELP first tournament of the year (SUNDAY)

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, my brother and I have our first tournament this Sunday on the occoquan reservoir. It's a 10 hp and under reservoir in Northern Va. Anyways, the day we are fishing is supposed to be a nasty cold front, and rainy in the morning. I think I'm gonna be throwing a jig a good part of the time on deep points, but I need your guys help with any tips or advice on what to do! Anything will help, thanks.

I have inside information that at this time at this reservoir slowrolling a 1oz spinnerbait in shad pattern works well ;) Good luck I'm pulling for ya

ps have you done any prefishing that might help ::)

Hey big boy I got my spinnerbaits today, theyre nice. I just restrung all my rods and what not too. I might be pre fishing tomorrow, I don't think Priscilla is gonna be to happy ;D

Matt, how did you do? I hear my buddy and his partner won it with a 26 pound sack! Now thats hard to beat. I hope you did well, I am unable to fish any tournaments due to a elbow injury. It will be awhile before I'll do any "seriuos" fishing. Would have liked to made the weigh in, but the "honey do" list was out of control. I refer to it as spring cleaning.
