well, i bought my first st. croix avid back in November, and i have fished with it many times, but i just recently caught my first fish on it.

im a few days late on this post, but i caught this bass on a wacky rigged 5" *** (smoke red pepper) in 3 feet of water on my not so new avid 7' MF.

about an hour before i caught that bass, i caught a crappie on a Rapala DT-06 but that was on my other avid (crankbait rod) which i have caught many fish on already.

Did the lake drop 5" when you pulled that one out?

Congrats dude! That's a fine rod you speak of, it should be good for couple thousand more fish before you retire it. Keep'em coming!

cool deal dave.   i know there'll be plenty more as long as you are throwing that trick stick. :)
