well my friend and i decided last night was a good time o fish. we started about 9 and gave up by 10. we live about 10 minutes from the arkansas river and gave it a try from shore. all i can say i wow, that is some high water and insane current.

i put a good amount of weight on a catfish line and it still went down stream. the current was so strong i don't know how you could fish the river right now. i hear down by the d**n there are some great fish though.

probably best to avoid the river if the current is that bad. Or find a place like a dam that slows it.
