fishing yesterday

Featured Replies

me and my friend went fishing on a good sized pond yesterday and it was amazing.  the fish were still bedding and we found a great pattern to catch them.  we would stay look for the beds, stay far away and cast shakey heads to them.  this was the best fishing we had ever experienced on this pond.  we were just nailing 3 pounder after 3 pounder.  in total we caught around 30 bass weighing more than 2.5 pounds and one nice brown trout in about 3 hours.  my friend was throwing a swimbait and a 21" brown trout just nailed it.  it must have jumped 4 feet in the air.  although we would have rathered it be a bass, that was one of the hardest fights i have ever seen.  the reason why we think this fishing was so great is because the whole time it was absolutely pouring rain.  this shows that if you stick to fishing through the bad weather, you could still have some great results.  cant wait to go back there, anyone else have some fishing reports/ stories from yesterday? thanks

Glad you had a great day.  Just hope that it wasn't so good that you end up dissappointed  if it's not as good when you return.   Good job!

p.s.  Up here in WI, I'm still waiting for water temp to raise a bit.  Cool weather just don't want to let go.

im right there with ya about the water temp...... its warm enough to fish in ohio, btu these cold fronts keep knocking just below the unproductive point!!!!
