A rare breed

Featured Replies

Fishe the Santa Fe river and caught several bass that are unique to the suwannee river ane a few others here in Florida. They're called Suwannee bass for this reason. They're about as close as you can get to catching a smallmouth in florida and boy are they scrappers. We caught a mixture of suwannees and largemouth today. All of the suwannees were keeper size which is the exception usually.I was with a buddy in his boat and no camera unfortunately. When I get back there again soon with my boat I'll try and get y'all a pic of one. They're pretty neat.

Haven't seen or heard of them :-? Be glad to see a pic...
