If only he knew what was on the way....

WV has dinks too! And it only took me 45 minutes to find them.

The BurleyDinkCurse at work!

stonewallfish4.jpg

It seems the curse is only in effect if I'm on the boat from the beginning of the trip.

I may not be able to catch them or even get them to bite. But I sure can land them.

I've got more photos, but the camper must be cleaned out!

I will say that Jimzee was a great host. He and Dawn are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. I even made a new friend!

More to come later....

Don't worry jim in time you grow an immmunity to the curse and you can still get them even if Burley is on the boat from the beginning. Although you may have pushed your luck by letting him run the TM.

BTW love the dog.

I had a great time as well man. I hope you can get back up this way soon, maybe for the fall bite. Burley and his wife are first class people. He even let me use the Carrot Stix for a little while which I regret now. (Probably the lightest rod I have ever held) He also gave me a bunch of tackle and brought me back a bunch of stuff from Cabela's. (still mad at you for that) I am going to make a trip down his way before summer's end. Looking forward to meeting up with him and TheBeast.

I'm not the one who started shoving Japanese stuff into my bag in the middle of the lake.

The taxidermy displays at Cabela's are simply amazing. I think I spent more time looking at them than browsing the fishing and hunting sections.

There had to be around 300 carp there, the biggest around 30 lbs.

That's a good picture of y'all.  Those carp pics turned out real well. That's about as busy as I get in that picture.

BTW, that's a nice hat you got in that pic.

Give me a self-timer and three exposures and I'll get it right. ;)

Yep, you should buy one for yourself. ;D

Looking forward to meeting up with him and  TheBeast.

Just don't try and stick me under one of those hats.

  • Super User

Yeah, thats a good looking hat until they stuck that horrible looking logo on it.  ;)

Good report Burleyman, glad you guys could finally get together and catch some fish.

Well, Jimzee did all the catching.  It was nice to at least be able to land a big fish though.  :-/

As for the hat, I'm hoping to reverse my mojo with that thing.  Since I bought that white UT hat, I haven't caught a d**n thing.

Maybe you can use "Jimzee's net boy" for your next name change?  :-?

Screw the net, I caught that five with my hands!  :)

I'm thinking of advertising in Bassmaster, see if KVD or Skeet need a fish lander.  I'll sleep in a rod locker and work for gas.

You know who to call to get the hook up with KVD, heck you could hand deliver his finesse jigs to him.  ;)

That's beautiful land around your place Blaine. Pretty water too!

Isn't that a Kistler LTA  in your hand Blaine? You sayin' a Carrot Stick is lighter?

Glad to see ya'll had a good time.
