Mini-sub @ work

I went to a nearby pond today around 5:30 for some top water action. I caught 6 on top using a Zara spook jr. (g-finish blue shad) and 5 using a watermelon senko. The bass were real aggressive on top and several fish knocked the "mini-sub" a foot or two out of the water. The big fish of the day just sucked it in and the fight was on. I gave him a quick jerk and held on. He took out a fair amount of line on several runs, danced on top 3 or 4 times, and tried to wrap me in weeds. I had to go into the water to get him pass some reel thick grass then got back on land to land him. He put up a great fight and made for an AWESOME morning. I did not have a scale but he was

21" long and had a 14" girth. 8-)
