bunch of dinks tonight

Featured Replies

decided to hit the private tanks this evening.  currently one of my revo's is in for service so i only had my one set up, but i brought along my nephews little ultra light i got for him.  it is a berkley cherrywood, with a mitchell avocet reel spooled with 10 lb power pro.  i threw a horney toad out for a bit and got one dink.  then i grabbed the UL and nailed about 6-7 more dinks one flukes and trick worms.  nothing even keeper size but man was it fun on that little rod!  the fish in these tanks are mean little suckers, they fight hard and dont give up.  nothing with any size to speak of but it sure beat sitting on my butt watchin the tube!

cool.  glad you had fun and caught a few.  it's really hard for me to focus on trying to catch a big fish in miserable 90+ degree heat.  if i'm gonna be out there, i want some ACTION.  nothing wrong with havin' fun and whackin' the little ones every once in a while. :)

At least you can say you are catch'n em!!!! 8-) 8-)

There's a pond near me that I like to take lite equiptment to. Never any Hogs, still FUN though ;)...

Every one counts.

Every one is a learning experience.

Every one is makes you get a little closer to that lunker.

At a "double secret" pond near where I live I have a blast catching dink after dink after dink.

One afternoon I threw out the dreaded pink trick worm and guess what?  The six-pound mama inhaled the bait and the fight was on.

She in the water and me on shore with my little ultra-light.

I won.

I know she is still there and every time I go back I am still trying to catch her again.

So keep on chunking those baits and sooner or later we will see a picture of you and a lunker.

Have your tried any of the Rage Tail baits? Get some crawfish and give 'em a try.  You may be surprised at the results.  ;)
