Getting skunked out or getting skunked out and mocked by a bird at the same time?

Yeah a bird landed on my rod while i was using it...Looked at me and goes "tweet,tweet".....What i heard in my head was "tweet, tweet loser!"

I think i might be taking up hunting soon now.... ;D

Well I would look at it like this...... Maybe the bird was saying that the fish were on break at the time but he would keep you company until they got back in the swing of things. Just a little different perspective..... :)

He didn't keep me company long 3-4 seconds....Funniest thing when he landed on my rod i near about freaked out(i just stood there frozen).I think i freak him out a little too when he realized he landed on a rod instead of a tree branch.

I'm just glad he didn't poop on my rod or me....

...or maybe the bird was telling you to use him as bait...you never know what a bass will eat on a given day. :P

He was just saying, " Obviously you're not going to be using this rod for catching fish, I might as well use it to sit on ".

I had the same thing happen, but I was 3 miles offshore.  A little finch must have been tired from his long ocean crossing, and he landed right on my fishing rod, and we had a hard time getting him to leave us alone.  I guess he didn't want to fly back to shore.  It was very entertaining.
