Wow what a day

Featured Replies

What a day. Took my 4 yr old daughter fishin this morning. Everything was going good my son and i were hooking bass on topwater and letting her reel em in. We had her rigged with a shakeyhead with a green pumpkin ribbon tail on it and was letting her cast it and fool around with it before put on some real worms and went to find some bluegills for her to fish for. Well i was reeling my lure in and my son had just got his reeled in when i looked down and saw that she had laid her rod down and the line had straightened. Before i could lay my rod down and grab hers it shot off my boat like a missile. My son tried to grab it as it went past him but it was too late it was diving deep. My daughter was heartbroken so if anyone sees a blue and white kids zebco 202 let me know. I am now also minus 1 shakeyhead lure. Wow what a day. We did catch about fourteen bass though with 5 of them being keepers.

Thats terrific Coach and great that you stay involved with your children. Great dads are created one child at a time.

Big O

Sorry about the rod.  Any day you get to spend with the kids on the water is a great day!!!

Well maybe she wanted a princess pole and not a Zebco 202!!! The fish was on her side here. LOL That sucks but shakey head lures are not that expensive ... HAHA Sorry bout your pole and how your daughter got heart broken. Well besides the heart break did ya'll go catch her some bluegills??? :question

You guys will laugh out loud when you share this story,.......at her wedding!!

Time flies,....these are the days, enjoy them! :)

Boy ain't that the truth. Seems like just a couple years ago that my oldest daughter was catching her first fish but it's been over ten years ago.

Cherish them while their young and think you hung the moon; won't be long before you're mentally challenged and don't know anything. Teenagers; ugh!  ;)
