Great time this morning!

Headed out to what has become my usual favorite place. Doctors lake. Its off of the St johns river up north of green cove. Its a 15 min ride to the ramp and a 10 minute ride to where i start fishing usually.

I was there to try out the new zara puppy <black shiner> and zara spook jr in some kind of glitter bass color, and a zara spook <baby bass>

On my last outting i had largemout every 3 to 4 mins hitting bait pods all around me but couldnt get them to bite anything, i through everything in my tackbox at them. Road warrior had recommended a spook to get them to bite! Well i got out this morning at 640 a little later than i wanted but that was fine... Was out for 2 hours and got 4 keepers and for me thats awesome!! i am so used to being out all day and only haveing one fish but i was still happy with that!

I gotta say the spook is my most favorite bait period its alot of fun to walk the dog with that thing and i had one bass come up and nail it and the bait flung like 3 ft in the air and i let it rest and started walking it again and again he nailed it same thing, and on the 3rd hit he took it so i took him!! What a blast!! I am so hooked!

;D

Sounds like fun, I have had good luck with the spooks as well. Top water fishing is my favorite by far, I love watchingthe bass explode on the lures.

I never saw a topwater that I didn't LOVE ;). Probably not the most productive bait but still......Just got one of the clear Spook Jrs 8-). Also got a pack of (2) feathered hooks. Gonna change out rear treble to see what happens. Wish me LUCK...
