first time throwing a new strike king sexy shad crank, not sure of the series number, i think series 4, the one that goes to 8'.  anyway this was the only fish i caught today, it was long and skinny, maybe went 2 lbs.  my buddy caught 5 on a shallow running H2O crank, but they were all super dinks.  fishing hasnt been to good lately, and i just cant seem to figure them out.

Where were you? Waco Lake? I hit Stillhouse this morning and didn't do much better.

it was actually in a golf course tank.  but it is part of lake waco, kinda an over flow deal or something.  i did go to lake waco afterwards but had to leave early cuz the dog got out!!  anyway, i have been catching a few, but they are all small, keepers are few and far between.  never fished stillhouse before, but i hear it is good stuff!!  i am hoping to get a small boat for next year, that overflow tank just has to have some good fish in it, i know it, but there is only shore access in a couple spots.

Yes, I'm a Ft Hood Soldier. I actually requested to come here just for the fishing. The reason I live in Nolanville is because of its proximity to both Belton and Stillhouse. I can be at either one in about 15 minutes. Stillhouse really is a good lake. I seem to catch more fish at Belton, but better quality at Stillhouse. I kept planning to come up and try out Lake Waco, but it's hard to leave this good fishing.

well if you ever do come to waco, let me know, i would be glad to fill your gas tank, and your back seat!!  ;D
