hey guys, I went out on a rvier system today and did pretty good. The current was rolling strong and we were catching spots from 2 to 8 ft deep in eddie pockets and push lines. I caught around twenty two pounders through out the day. They were in schools of 5 or 6 so when you found one you found others. They would hit just about anything but I scored best on a 1/2 oz spinnerbait being slow rolled as slow as possible. I scored a 4 pound spot two days ago by doing the same thing so I take that technique as solid for this time of year. Also two largemouths were caught flipping a jig, biggest being 3.5 pounds but I never got anything defined except for current and wood. I hope this helps anyone that is fishing a river system anytime this winter. cya guys
