Good start to the 2009 season! 3 for 3

Featured Replies

Well truth to be told its been some time since I've wet a line. Hunting season started back in September and that's when I stopped fishing. So after six months of going without the smell of bass on my hands, I was eagerly waiting for spring.

Saturday was 75 degrees out! All my buddies had something better to do (or so they thought) so I went out by myself. Still a little ice on the water. Fishing a T-rigged Gambler lizard. (which I love) I got one missed hit, and one not missed hit. It turned out to be a nice 3-4lber! I was pumped.

Sunday was 65 degrees out. I went out with my friend Jedd. As is my early march custom, I was hopping a jig along the bottom real slow. After a few hours I managed to pick up a nice 4lber, and it was the only hit all day. Sweet!

Then yesterday It was 55 degrees and I went out and fished for a hour or two. Caught three 2lbish guys. Nothing big but still a good time.

First three days went just fine! Surprising for this early in NJ.

Lets see what today holds in store! :)
