hey guys nubie here. me and a few buddies went fishing this morning and couldnt catch a thing. i was going to see if anyone had some early season tips with bass. were here in kansas fishing a lake. temps have been around 50 to 80 lately. anyone have any ideas on what there biting at right now?

welcome!  search around the site man... there are tons of articles and informative threads about just this.   Water temperature and pressure will matter more than air temperature.  I would imagine in Kansas it is just now starting to get to be good but im not sure, I dont live close to there. Try fishing shallow slow with texas rigged worms and creatures, or possibly shallow cranks and spinnerbaits.  If no luck, slow down and back off to points etc and try that.

first tip- find the water temp. it will give you big clues to where they are. air temps do relate but arent exact as water temps. well good luck and thrown on a super fluke jr. it always catches me fish
