man yesterday was trying. we had a pretty good wind storm 20-30 mph all day. but i went out anyway. man i swear i had a bunch of goobers. i was fishing a weightless fluke. fishing wasn't great but i had 5 fish that missed my bait one of them twice they either totally missed it or threw it out of the water into the bushes .never seen so many misses maybe they were hitten the sauce i ended with 2 fish  oh well guess ill have to try again today

I add a small amount of weight to drop the lure down a foot or so in the water column when that happens to me. It can be as simple as going up on the hook size to get the lure down. Be careful though, it will at times make you work the lure a little faster to keep the lure up and that can kill the bite altogether. You just have to experiment with it to see what will work.
