Today's Outing

Featured Replies

Well, here it is. The report for my "super early" trip. Basically, it was a disaster. I wake up at 5:45, only for it to be pouring down. So, I go at 8:30. I thought the fish would be on a topwater bite, but of course, low and freaking behold, they wouldn't even touch 'em. As it turns out, they were packed in to really tight cover. To top off the whole day, I missed an EASY eight pounder, and then a VERY easy seven, and then could never get them to touch anything else. There was one good part of the day. I caught this little chunker on a Storm Thunderstick jerkbait. 5 lbs even.

haha Nothing to be upset about. You have a great place to fish that is slap full of big bass. Just get out there again and see if your luck doesn't get better.
