Crappie Day.....

Featured Replies

Yesterday we went out with the sole intention of catching some crappies. Well, it worked ;D. We really were trying to see if this pond even had cropps in it, and, they do. And some big ones at that. Next time we go, well, we're not leaving without a cooler full of them ;D

Although we never do it, we actually went to the tackle store and got some minnows, and sat there with them under our bobbers. What a day. Biggest one was probably 13+ inches.

POND FISHERMAN!  I've noticed there a lota pond fisherman on this forum.  That said though, the ponds can produce some big crappies.  They are a little bit more wary and fished for in the lakes though.
