So I finally figured out why people like Senko's so much!

Featured Replies

Stopped by my fathers 2-acre pond yesterday after work. Had an hour to kill so I figured I would goof around. Was 4:15 PM, 81 degrees, sun shining brightly, water clarity pretty darn clear with minimal wind. I had a spinnerbait already rigged up so I tossed it for a few minutes with not even a look. Grabbed another rod with a chatterbait and tried every shadow and structure I could find as slow as I could and still nothing!

THEN IT HIT ME! I needed to try out those Senko's that I'd had for weeks now. Texas rigged a watermelon 4" Senko with no weight and fished the edges of some weeds. 5 bass ranging from 1/2lb to 2lb's later (30 minutes of fishing) and I'm now a believer in the power of the Senko!

On 4 of those fish I couldn't even tell they had taken it until I went to bounce the bait. Definitely going to try these more in the coming weeks.

I never would have used the bait if it weren't for so many people on here recommending them! :D

Sorry about that roadwarrior.  :)

They work great as a beginner bait too! I got my brother hooked on bass fishing by having him use Senkos!  :)

That seems to be how it is when you first start catching fish on them. I'm in my first year of serious bass fishing. My success has been spotty so far, but I've had most of my luck on the Senko, and the more fish you catch on them, the better you can feel the "tick" when they grab it.
