well , i decided today that im just going to stick with two lures all day. a 1/16oz jig with a 2" power grub (i didnt get a single nibble) and a taquila sunrise zoom worm on a 3/0 offset hook with a 1/8oz unpegged weight which landed this beast -

not much of a fight on my 6' M/F compre citica combo w/ 10lb line , but it was my rush of the day. i havnt used a u-tail worm like that in years so it was kinda rewarding to land that monster.

a few minutes later , a group of people came by asking if i cought anything. i told them about the single bass and that i released it. this one guy looked like he had fire in his eyes. he said "why didnt you keep it?! you need to stop doing that ESPN stuff and bring him home!" i couldnt help but laugh. it did get me a bit mad because it was obvious he was the type of person who would keep anything he catches, but i didnt want to get into it with him so i chuckled and nodded. :

after the excitement , i headed up the street to another pond and didnt land anything except weeds. one fish is better than no fish so it wasnt a bad day imo. 8-)

but i suppose thats how i sound after growing up on jensen beach here in FL.  

its toned down over the years, but im sure that remnants will linger for eternity!!!! ;D ;D
