Friday morning we were out of school so me and my cousin decided to go fishing at our local saline-larto complex. Two huge lakes that are entertwined together by bayous and creeks. I've always fished on the saline side and caught alot of good fish but I wanted to try the larto lake end. It was our first time out on larto but it was great. We found a tree top that had many small eating sized fish so we kept a few for a fish fry we caught like 10 or 12 and decided to leave the little fish alone and go find some larger bass. I've heard that the docks on the lake were good for big fish so we went there. Well we fished for about 45 minutes with little strikes and no fish. Untill I pulled up on a cypress tree next to one of the camp docks and hooked into this mama. I didn't have my scales with me but I'd say she was right at 5 lbs. Then after that we caught a couple more chunks about 2.5 lbs and called it a day.
