came down for vacation and of course i had to bring my fishing tackle. went out yesterday at the cousins lake and pulled in some peacocks from shore. first was on a shad rap 5 in perch color and the next was on a 1/16oz football jig with a 4" trick stick in baby bass i was hopping along the bottom. both were in the 3lb range and fought like crazy on the 6'6 light rod.

i also managed a largemouth on the same shad rap and a catfish on a bucktail jig with a baby craw trailer which was my first catfish , and my first fish on that jig.

it was a great day.  :D :D :D

that sounds like some fine fishing.  just once i'd like to catch a peacock.  wouldn't even have to be big.  real cool man.  congrats on your mixed bag day.

good work. hard to catch a peacock on a jig or slow moving bait.....they spit them out very quickly usually.
