I caught this one last saturday. I tried to not get hung on a big log by jerking it over it. When I did it something hit the log very hard. My buddy and I was like, what the heck was that. Then I pulled the rattle trap off of the log and it was on......8.5lbs

Yeah, not flat as a board but not all that fat.  I think thats y he was only 8lbs.  He also had a knot on his head. Does any1 know what it is(the knot)?

Idk about that knot on his head but he is messed up, look he's missin' have of his tail fin. I don't care how messed up a fish is, If it's big I'm proud of it.

that's a nice lookin' old warrior there.  she might not have long left.  healthy, that fish was probably well over 10.  glad you were able to catch her before she left this world.  congrats on a great fish.
