Fayette County Lake Texas 02/13/10

Featured Replies

Went to Fayette County Lake here in Texas Saturday. What a day.Got there at 9am.The temp was 33 degrees and the fog was as thick as i have ever seen it.fished for a few hours with out getting bit.Went back to the dock at 12 to eat a snack and the temp was slowly on the rise.Headed back out around 12:30 and the fog was finally starting to leave.Set up on a huge hump in 14 foot of water.I was throwing a 3/4oz Strike King Red Eye Shad (Gold/Black Back)and boy did I smash em.My partner was throwing a Zoom 8" big dead ringer in Watermelon seed with the tail dipped in chart spike it.We managed to catch 31 fish in 3 hrs all off the same hump.Wound up being an awesome outing after getting skunked the first half of the day.The water temp was 59 degrees.Fayette County Lake is a power plant lake so the water is always warm in the winter months.

Nice fish man!!

I think Alton Jones did a Rattle Trap show on Fayette County lake for Classic Patterns.  I could be wrong though.

Nice looking buckets you got there

Looks like you were kept busy for a good share of the day anyways.  Nice haul! 8-)
