Went out after work...left my mojo on the kitchen table

Featured Replies

So me and a bud head out the other day after work. Get out there, hit some of my absolutely most productive holes on the lake. Fish were hitting right where they usually are...I could not set a hook to save my life.

I must have had 3 or 4 dozen great hits, and I either spazzed out (actually yanked so hard once, threw the bait out of the water, past my head, and 15-20 ft behind me, or sat there so far behind the hit that the Bass had to have been laughing at me.

Though I did, for the first time, get out with plastic crawdads and hammer me a few on those. Man they were fun to fish with.

I hear ya, much the same thing this afternoon.  Birds nests, Tree Bass, hot as all get out... Caught a Bluegill, though =/

At least the kids made out on turtles and bluegill.  Not even a hint of bass for me though.  whatever bites I had were too small to actually get hooked, lots of WIFF, miss.
