Everybody gets a "big one"

Featured Replies

So I was just thinking about my last fishing trip and me and my brother decided to try cat fishing so we were just sitting there with our lines in the water and there was this guy probably about 500 ft away fishing off the dock. He'd been there most of the day and hadn't caught anything and then I saw him pull out a dink that probably weighed a pound or less and it fell off his hook while he was pulling it up out the water. Never thought anything of it but a little while later this other guy shows up and asks him if they're hitting.

Dock fisher responds, "Yea! I had a nice one a min ago but I lost him when I was pullin him out the water!" Second fisherman counters "OHHHH! I was fishing here the other day and I had a nice one! but he took my jitterbug and all! Wish I coulda got that one!"

This is comical to me because the first guys fish was tiny. And a day or two before I found a jitterbug snagged in a tree lol.

Me and my brother had a good laugh.

Wont be the last fish story you'll be told. Working at a tackle shop now makes me almost only believe the story when they have the citation to back it up.  :D

That's kind of how my stories go!

I always seem to get bettered by 2 inches or 2 pounds by other fishermans stories.

Guy will ask how am I doing-Ill say got a 15" bass--guy will say he caught a 17 inch one 2hrs ago.

Different day different guy will ask --Ill say caught a 4 pound cat--guy will say he caught a 6 pound one yesterday. ::)
