Hard to stay focused when it's slow

Featured Replies

Wanna know what's worse than missing a chance at a fish on a slow day in August? Doing the exact same thing ten minutes later in the same exact spot probably the same exact fish! I was merely going through the motions so instead of making a few twitches with my frog over a void in the slop, I burned it right on across. Didn't see nary a thing either, just splash! Actually they were more like SPLOSH!

I know it's hard to do, especially when it's 100* + and 100% humidity, but don't get caught nappin'!

I did manage four fish in 1 1/2 hours, with a nice 3-3.5# fish on the first cast.

What's worse?

Telling all of us!

Ive had mosquitos and gnats buzzing around my ears and head and believe me that would make anyone want to leave their fishin spot and get a fly swatter but I eventually tuned them out and caught 22 fish in three hours in that same spot so concentration and a little luck can make all the difference sometimes
