Lake Monroe

Featured Replies

I am about to fish lake monroe for a qualifier. It is a lake in the south. I heard there is a lot of grass there, but I have never fished it before. Any suggestions?

That's a pretty vague description of the lake.

Any other information on it (clarity, water temp, depth, etc.)?

It is a lake connected to the river. Youd realize that the lake is fairly big and that there are docks on the southeast side by the sanford area and lots of reids along i4. Watermelon red and other natural dark colors work very well. Keep one set up weightless and the other with a t-rig.

Fish down here can change in an instant. There are several canals including a spring fed canal in the north east corner. This is prime for lots of schooling fish in the morning. Any more questons just ask.
