Alot of people think that frogs and rat lures can only be used over matted vegetations, but i've had success throwing them in open water, timber, brushpiles, and other different structures. What other structures(besides matted vegetation) do you throw frog and rat lures?

I too have used them in open water...just to see if they will hit on it.   Off the shore line over rocks works well too.

i throw them around wood cover near lily pads

besides vegetation i use Frogs and Rats around docks alot. also shoreline bushes and laydown trees.

I've done well with frogs in places were you would normally skip a bait (over hanging tree's & dock's) but mostly in the salad in the summer with a high sun.

Never used them much, but now here in Fl (Harris chair) now, : tell me how, where, when, what kind??  Bought a scum-frog the other day.
