I got pond I go to and I do have permission from the owner to put fish in it. The pond is about an acre and there is a 9-10 foot deep spot. There might be some catfish in there but I think I can get a few bubbies and fish them down quick. I want to put some Bass in there but I don't know.    Please let me hear your thoughts.    Thank you!    Bass fishing is the best thing there is!!

If it's private and you have permission from the owner, and all there is in there is catfish.. then I say stock it with some bass and see how it turns out. You may also want to put some baitfish in to keep them fed.

first off contact your local fish and game department

most states have stocking programs where they come out test the water and see if its gonna be fit

then they stock it with the proper amount of game and bait fish and in most cases it's free thats one reason we buy liceness take advantage of it if they do it in your state. plus read up on pond management in the long run you will binafit greatley
