Just to say thanks...

Featured Replies

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have put this site together and have posted tips and suggestions in this forum.

Many thanks!

Items in particular were the worms and/or lizards in watermelon or pumkin.... these were a hit this afternoon!8)

These tips and suggestions saved me from looking a complete idiot in front of my step-kids who begged and begged for me to take them fishing since school is out.

I've fished before... many moons ago... but not bass fished... in fact I'd got relatively bored with fishing crappie once a year. Today, however, I caught my first largemouth bass! He was not quite 3 pounds... but fought like I had a tiger by the tail!

I'm hooked... and the kids think I'm da bomb! ;D

Now If I can figure out how to fillet this guy without giving away that I'm a total amateur! hehe

Thanks again!

There are fillet pictures out on the internet everywhere that can help you fillet ;)

Yeah this site is wonderful.

the best way to fillet a fish is to buy them that way and let the other ones go!

Yeah, and they are a lot safer to eat!

WOW :o... you guys must live in some pretty bad areas. The lake I live close to is the water supply for a major city about 50 miles away. So I'm guessing the water is pleanty good to eat the fish from.

I'm not real sure what the difference is... keeping yours or some one elses' fish to eat. I've been teaching my family that it is responsible to eat what you catch, unless too small. Just like hunting, you eat what you kill... else don't kill it. ;)
