Fishing deformity?

Featured Replies

I have this lump on my finger where the pressure from my reel is.  I get it every year and it goes away in the winter.  If I fish for 4 or 5 days in a row, it gets really huge where it stands out visually to others.  There is absolutely no pain and it is under the skin and not a callous.  Anyone else get anything like this?  It doesn't bother me at all, and in fact it makes me a bit proud! lol

I get the same kind of thing on the back of my wrist. It started after i broke it. The docs say it a tendon that gets a bubble in it or leaks fluid out of it when it gets agitated. Ya might want to get it checked out.

I was at a private pond last night and decided to fish near a small bridge. The bridge is about 6 feet across and about 6 feet above the brook below it. There were two 4 X 4's to walk across. I got half way over and they both snapped like twigs (rotten I guess). I fell in the brook below, scraped up pretty good, but didn't break anything except I disagree. d**n that hurt, I can barely sit today!

Does that qualify as a deformity?

The above mentioned was suppose to be my behind.  I guess it got bleeped out.

Back a few years ago I set the hook(with braided line) and partially tore a tendon near my elbow.Couldn't fish for a month.Well, the doc said to not fish for a month.I really didnt listen that well back then.

It has gotten better over the past couple years but on the real hard hooksets I can feel the tingle in my elbow.

Not an actual deformity but......

I cant fish with rods that have a blank thru handle. They make my hand go numb and If I do use one my hand will stay numb for days.I've never had that checked out but probably should.
